"I guarantee you that with CA@N your personal development and technical skills will take off at a rapid speed. After 3 years in Nedbank, you will not only be a skilled banker, but also a well-rounded CA(SA) that can function in any industry, under any circumstances."
Being the top trainee in the 2011 QE2 in Financial Management, and the only Honours Achiever, JD Symington talks about Nedbank’s CA Training programme as "absolutely awesome", highlighting
• The Programme’s commitment to invest in the development of trainees
• Talented and skilled supervisors in the business units who never hesitate to share their knowledge and insight, while
challenging the individuals talent to the Nth degree, as well as
• An organisation culture in Nedbank which emphasizes a healthy work-life balance.
If you are currently registered for a CTA, PGDA or Honours in Accountancy or similar qualification for completion before 2012, visit the Nedbank CA Training Programme website to read more, and apply online before 18 March 2011. Have a scanned copy ready of your CV, which not only covers your personal and academic development to date, but also introduces you as a person to us, your full academic transcript to date, your matric certificate, and a copy of you south African ID.
In July 2011, CA@Nedbank will present a Winter Seminar at Olwazini, our "place of knowledge" in the Cradle of Humankind for students in the last year before entering for CTA or equivalent studies, and who have demonstrated consistently strong academic performance. The purpose of this winter school is to expose some 30-35 students to the Nedbank Group, to broaden financial and leadership insights, as well as getting involved in community and environmental responsibility. The seminar will challenge participants’ ability to apply their individuality in team context, demonstrate tenacity, resilience, flexibility and conceptual potential.
CA@N also had two more trainees in the top 10 of the 2011 QE2 in Financial Management, namely Brad Smith (5th) and Zen Dedekind (8th) – both Golden Key members/invitees.
